Pancake Tortoises

This breeding group was assembled between 2006 and 2007 and currently consists of five females and four males. During these years Pancakes were being imported and many were being sold as "captive bred" or captive raised. I personally hand picked all of these animals from several different sources. Some of them are definitely captive bred and we believe most were young wild caught animals that were being sold as captive bred. I selected animals that had the most striking variations of color and radiations that I believe will produce young that are as nice if not better looking than the adults. Most of these animals will be reaching sexual maturity in 2008 so most likely the first captive bred offspring will hatching in 2009 if all goes well. Female number 9 has a very unusual "hypo" look to her so her offspring will be kept for future breedings to see if the color trait breeds true.
